I am currently attending Purdue University and I am in my final year of graduate school.
Psychotherapy is my passion. I believe that psychotherapy is a process, it is not a transaction. Therapy is not a method of simple ideas or methods of advice giving. If you are struggling with regulating your emotions, I will work with you to explore your feelings and your thought processes. Through these steps we will come to your conclusions and find the answers you seek. We are a team!
Mental health is the most intimate non-physical relationship a person can have with another. I provide a safe, compassionate, culturally responsive, collaborative, realistic, non-judgmental yet; direct environment for you to heal and feel good with your decisions.
My clinical style of psychotherapy includes psychodynamic, humanistic, existential, spirituality and motivational interviewing. I believe that therapy is a guide to introduce you to yourself, by raising awareness and helping you have insight into understanding your inner conflicts, such as who are you really? Who would you like to become? How do I feel about (blank), and what will I do about that? The goal is to find the disconnect. I will help my clients alleviate and find new ways to deal with their distress. Working as your partner skillfully, I will take the lead navigating you to explore your thought processes, feeling and behaviors while you express your goals and together, we will accomplish success.
I specialize in working with individuals that struggle with anxiety, addictions, and couples counseling. Let us be honest, at some point we all struggle with anxiety, depression and have issues in our relationship. The most important part is not becoming stuck or committed to self-destruction. We will explore the healing part together.
